Thank You Cards and Birthday Gifts!
I owe a few thank you cards, so I thought I’d finish them up tonight and get them sent out before the week is up! Normally, I’d just jot a quick note in some blank store-bought cards, but this time I decided to make my own. Grandmas love hand-made things.

First I painted red and green blobs on some nice heavy watercolor paper which I had hand-ripped to the desired size. I used Pearl-Ex, which has mica flakes in it, to add a little shininess! Ooh shiny!
Then I added some lines with a black brush pen. I cut up some accent paper and stuck it all together with double-sided tape. (The checkered paper came in a big pack of 12×12 sheets for 95 cents a package at Ax-Man Surplus! Neat store!) The “Thank You” is a rubber stamp. My handwriting isn’t that nice!! haha
Since I was on a roll, I decided to wrap up some birthday presents for my mummy. I’m always on the hunt for funky wrapping materials. The mulberry paper I used here was a steal at a local rubber stamping convention for $3 a roll. I bought 4! And I got the ribbon in a huge box of remainders from a florist that was going out of business. Tons of great ribbon, super cheap!
