Surely you are familiar with the beloved Lolrus from icanhascheezburger.com (home of Lolcats)?

Okay, so he’s actually a sea lion, but his species is of little consequence because he’s loved world-wide as the Lolrus. There’s an entire category at icanhascheezburger devoted to the Lolrus kind.

I love Lolrus! So much in fact, that I decided to make a stuffed tribute to him (or her??).

I designed a pattern for Lolrus and his beloved Bukkit and stitched them up in felt. I’ve been working on this brainstorm for a few nights, it was a trial and error project.

I was planning on turning it inside out, so the stitching wouldn’t show, but decided I’d be safer leaving the stitching out. The flimsy felt would get destroyed for sure. If I enlarged the pattern, it would probably work out though.

I Has a Bukkit!

I have so many great projects that I should work on right now, but I just cannot convince myself to get started on anything. Is it some weird ADD thing? I just don’t feel like focusing on anything!

This is probably part of the reason why I feel like this… *cringe*

I have an excuse for this disaster of a craft room! I’m getting rid of my current office furniture and I’m going to buy some new stuff at IKEA that is a little more my style. The problem is, I’m selling the old stuff to my father-in-law, and he can only pick up a few pieces of furniture at a time, over the course of a few weeks. So a lot of my crafty stuff doesn’t really have a proper home in this period of transition. I sort of just dumped everything in the middle of the floor. hehehe Maybe I’m feeling ambitious enough to work on this mess a little. I’m thinking that when I get the new furniture, I’ll need some open floor space in which to assemble it.

I didn’t get a chance to get outside and take photos, but I wanted to play with the new camera this evening, so I wandered around the house and took shots of random stuff. Bad lighting at night… I’m anti-flash. I’ll have to buy a nice lighting kit sometime. I have to say I am in love with this camera. It is so nice to be able to crop a photo quite a bit and still be able to print at a large size in high resolution. Such a difference compared to my previous camera.
